Gift Ideas for Moms

A collection of purchased and handmade gift ideas for mom.

I think we can all agree that the definition of a ‘mom’ does not have to include a biological connection.

So, for the woman in your world who loves you unconditionally, takes joy in making your favorite dinner, and is always a willing listener, here are some gift ideas for moms for their birthday, Mother’s Day, or Christmas.

Heck, you may just want to gift your mom just because it’s…well…Monday!

  • Crochet Edged Linen Throw:  You can easily make a linen throw for mom in a week, or less with some basic sewing and crochet skills.  This throw is perfect for the spring and summer months when she just needs a light covering on some of those cool evenings.  Instructions are here.Linen throw in a wicker basket
  • Use the Waterlogue app to take photos of mom’s kids or grandkids and turn them into watercolor works of art.  You can print them on a heavy stock paper on your printer and then frame them or send the image to an online canvas print store.  See here for more information.A pair of legs

I hope these suggestions give you some gift ideas for moms.  I know I’d be thrilled with just about any of these (hint hint)!

  4. I am so happy you reminded us of the fact that mother’s day is coming up. If I had to choose from your diverse selection I would have to go with the artwork. These are all very well thought out Lynn but maybe I should share this post with the family to make sure they get it.! 😉

    1. Mary, I’m all about dropping hints! Wouldn’t it be great to have a ‘waterlogue-d’ photo of all your babes!? I’d love that. Yup…you need to leave some not so subtle hints. I find I have the best look if I let Kate know, then she can influence Terry.
Thanks for swinging by today friend.

      Many hugs, LYnn

But the garden items are the same! GAH! I need to win the lottery! Top it off with the print of your daughter in pumps….it would be the best mother’s day, EVAH!!!!

    1. Hi Nikki…great minds think alike! But then again, who wouldn’t want a Kitchenaid? And I also get giddy around kitchen and garden implements as well. You could so do one of the pictures with Georgia in fun shoes! A mother’s day gift for yourself. Nothing wrong with that.
