Monday Musings

Hi friends,

Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was a good one. It was a busy, but very fun one, in these parts.

Starting today I will be popping in on the first day of each week to share with you a variety of findings from around the web. I am inspired daily by the talented creatives in different fields and wanted to bring some of these to you on a regular basis.

There is something about the holidays that brings the best out of creatives. This cake by The Cloudy Kitchen is just beautiful.cloudy-kitchen-peppermint-bark-brownie-cake

And since my consumption of sweets, like that Peppermint Bark Cake, increases this time of the year; I need to balance that with salads like this Roasted Red Cabbage and Buckwheat Salad from Cook Sophie Cook.roasted-red-cabbage-cauliflower-fennel-and-buckwheat-salad-cook-sophie-cook

Remember how I told you I am seeking a very Gingerbread and Candy Cane kind of Christmas? Well, this tablescape from the ever-s0-talented Lucy at Craftberry Bush would fit perfectly with that theme.craftberry-bush-gingerbread-tablescape

And along those lines, how about this so very cute Cookie Cutter!? I’m thinking the US Postal service will be delivering this little fella to me this week.gingerbread-man-mug-hanger-cookie-cutter

And the color of this felt poinsettia wreath…just sublime. The link will take you to a the video tutorial. Going to try to squeeze this on to my to do list.felt-poinsettia-wreath-bhg

I’m always on the lookout for great hostess gifts, especially this time of the year. I love the idea of making my own candles, especially if they are Rosemary and Grapefruit scented! Check out this tutorial from Sugar and Cloth.diy-rosemary-grapefruit-candles-12

And finally, here’s a quote that has been on my mind of late. mind-is-everything

Wishing you a wonderful week. I hope to get a little more baking done, get some of those cookies sent to Kate, get a little more shopping done and some gifts wrapped. And…I have a little project in mind…wish me luck. What’s on your list this week?

Hugs,
