Hello my friends.  I hope you enjoyed a lovely weekend.

While the calendar claimed it was the first weekend of Fall, I think many of us in the continental US were experiencing summertime weather. But, I’m confident that more seasonal weather is right around the corner…the power of positive thinking.

Hey, did you know today is ‘National One-Hit Wonder Day’?  What’s your favorite One-Hit Wonder? There are so many great ones. And I for one am shocked that the band who performed ‘Kung Fu Fighting’ didn’t go on to greater things.

But, my all time favorite has to be Sugar, Sugar by The Archies.

I’ve read about half of these.  Where are you?

My friend Tammy has compiled a list of suggestions on how to take care of your fall mums.

Several ideas on decorating your front door by my friend Karianne.

For years, I prepared my marinara sauce with all sorts of spices and additions until I discovered that the simplest version is by far the best. I’m anxious to try this even more simplified version.

This artist’s pottery are true works of art.

I don’t know about you, but during the winter months when not much is growing outside, it’s nice to have a few plants growing indoors.  Some suggestions for the best indoor plants.

So go forth my friends and make it a great day!

Many hugs,

OH MY GOSH! Talk about a blast from the past. Sugar, Sugar is also my favorite. I fell in love for the very first time with a guy that worked with my mother and he bought me this as a single. WOW! Memories!!!!

Oh, what a sweet memory! So glad to provide you that throwback…but were you surprised that the ARchies didn’t put out more music? I was.

Have a great week my friend.

      Hugs, Lynn

Ooh that’s a fun link you included for 100 books everyone should read. I’ve read about a third of that list, though I’m surprised by the number of kids’ books I apparently missed during my childhood. I’ve got a significant amount of the books on that list sitting on my shelf, queued up and waiting to be read soon. So I guess I’m working through the 100!

Hey Liz…I racked up many of my points by reading several of those books to my kiddos…and I have found that some of those children books and young adult fiction writers ended up being some of my all time favs.

      Happy Reading!

      Hugs, Lynn
