Monday Musings, March 19

Holy Cow! Is it really Monday…again? Is it just me, or did that came out of nowhere!? I woke up this morning and laid in bed a few minutes pondering what we were going to do today, given that it was Sunday. And then it hit me!

We soaked up the last bit of having our daughter at home before she headed back to school for the rest of her semester. We were able to get together with my parents a couple of times over the week and nail down some big plans we are hatching.

While one of my babies headed back to school, the other headed out to compete in a FIRST Robotics competition. He has been participating in FIRST for 4 years and we have nothing but fantastic things to say about the program.

While they were heading to their respective places, I spent a day learning how to make French Macarons! I promise, I’ll be sharing all the tips I learned in a post soon!

And dare I ask it…is Spring really here to stay?

For all my fellow chocolate chip cookie lovers out there…this is a great breakdown on how each ingredient affects the final product.  I’m a crisp on the outside/chewy on the inside kind of gal. What does your perfect chocolate chip cookie look like?

I feel I am always somewhere on the scale of ‘overwhelm’, clearly something I need to work on a bit more.

Do you have a go-to sauce, one that can be the basis for any number of meals? 7 Magic Sauces

A paper Easter lily? A lovely craft for the upcoming holiday.

Our son will be heading to college in the fall and is already talking about how much he will miss our pets. Coincidentally, I have been mulling what we will be giving him for his high school graduation and I came across these pillows.  They are on sale right now! Aren’t they perfect for any pet lover?!

Everything that Vibeke puts together is just so inviting. This is an oldie but goodie.

Wishing you a fantastic week!

Many hugs,

There are no buds on the trees here in Québec City, just snow and more snow! It’s lovely to see your flowers and think that once April’s here, Spring will soon (I hope) arrive here.

Oh my friend, I am sending warm thoughts your way! It’s been a long winter, hasn’t it? We had a storm come through right after I took those photos and now all those Star Magnolia flowers are gone! So glad I captured them on film when I did!

      Wishing you a lovely day!

      Hugs, Lynn
