Happy Happy my friends!

I know that I am blessed beyond measure that I still have my dad around to fete on Father’s Day. In order to have the whole family together to celebrate my husband and my dad yesterday, we all jumped in the car and drove towards Kate as she is smack in the midst of her finals. We ate good food and shared good giggles and then jumped back in the car and drove home. It was a good weekend.

I think I’m finally starting to feel ‘summer’…it hit me a little bit yesterday. Are you feeling ‘summer’ yet?

That I have already put up 3 jars of pickles from the cukes in our garden is helping me realize that it is in fact, summer.

The internet never fails to put forth a slew of great ideas. Here are just a few:

You know I have a fondness for bees, right? I mean, we all should protect and do what ever we can to make their busy lives better…we need bees. So, here are 5 trees that bees love.

I am a ‘Pie Gal’…it is my weakness…well, one of many weaknesses.  But…if given the choice between cakes, cupcakes, cookies or a slice of pie…I’m all in for pie…except for rhubarb pie which reminds me of the fluoride goop the dentist used to put all over my teeth when I was a younger…gag! (I just shuddered at the thought). And I think summer was made just for pies…blueberry, strawberry, peach…oh my.  Here are 17 great pies to enjoy this summer.

OK…some of these are just plain brilliant…never thought to put my vents in my dishwasher or to then coat them with car wax!!  And the fan one?!

I made a desk out of a door, but a desk from a bed? It’s lovely.

I want to do a better job of drying my herbs to use when they aren’t growing. Here’s a primer.

Want to be a hit at your Fourth of July potluck or cookout? Check these out.

I could go on and on, but I have projects that need to be done and plumber coming any minute to install a Reverse Osmosis Water system in my kitchen.

So, happy trails my friends…until next time.

Oh, I almost forgot…

Did you know that ‘Goodbye’ is an alteration of the blessing “God be with you”? I didn’t know that!

So, until next time…

Goodbye my friends..
