As always, it’s not difficult to find tantalizing, tasty treats and other mind-enriching morsels on the web. Here are a couple that caught my eye:
- The folks at Houzz have a great article about different kinds of bees, their nesting habit and foraging plants for the bees for 3 seasons. I’m encouraged that my garden’s bee activity seems to have increased this year, but these wonderful creatures still need all the help we can give them.
- We are 5 shorts weeks away from heading out on our hiking trip in Austria! Can.Not.Wait!!! I know that we will be able to find food when we’re there, but I don’t want to waste a bunch of time searching out grocery stores. So, we are going to pack a few nourishing and filling snack foods to take on our 7 day hike. Over the next couple of weeks (in between graduation, a graduation party and a trip to UNC for orientation) we’re going to try out a couple of recipes. These Date and Peanut Butter cookies from the Nourishing Seedling are on our list to try!
- The Hanging Spoon’s Watermelon and Watercress salad looks outstanding! It surely screams summer and will make its way to our table very soon! In fact, I have a watermelon sitting on my counter right now. Hmmm….
- This Crostini Bar idea from Craftberry Bush is a great idea and something my family would love. A super supper idea for those summer nights when you just don’t feel like cooking.
Happy Saturday and enjoy your weekend.
